Restoration of Fracture Anterior tooth is always challenging to Dentist: A Case Report

This young girl presented with Fracture Anterior Central Incisor tooth as she was annoyed to smile in public & requested for immediate filling.

Fracture Anterior tooth has two choices of treatment ONE is Direct Composite Restoration which can be completed in One visit however this material has short term life span as well discolour after few years so to overcome this problem Indirect Ceramic Veneer is SECOND choice of treatment which require multiple visits. It is combination of work by Dentist & laboratory dental technician perform Ceramic Veneer under CAD CAM which has longer life span as well don discolour & has bear higher masticatory forces.

So, considering demand from patient for immediate filling, we took decision for Direct Composite filling treatment of choice. WHY?

Direct Composite filling is tooth colour restorative Resin material that can be bonded & filled in cavity area on same siting then it is sculpted artistically in any shape, size, form & added with different colours that mimic natural tooth anatomy as well meet natural colour of teeth.

This Composite material is existed in soft nature therefore after final sculpting it is immediately cured or harden by Ultraviolet blue light which can sustain masticatory forces.

However, Restoring in Anterior tooth is always challenging to Dentist as it has numerous colours inside which need to transfer by clinician very carefully therefore, we took decision to work under Microscope in order to visualize all internal detail of natural tooth & can transfer all colours of Natural tooth from Composite material which can mimic exact replica of Natural tooth so it is complete artistic work of Dentist.

Finally Finishing & Polishing is key that promote final desire excellent Natural appearance.

I hope everyone will appreciate this clinical documented case video.

So Direct Composite Restoration is excellent choice of treatment for Fracture Anterior tooth.
